Whoa... #2!!

WHOA... #2!!
Michael has been peeing in the potty for about two weeks now but today, FINALLY (insert exaggerated eyeroll) Michael pooped in the potty!!  Yes, I took a photo of it but I will spare your eyes today.  That one’s locked up for the “how do I embarass the hell out of Michael” days in our future.  At the point that he finally went he had not pooped in six, count them, six days.  Hopefully he will continue on this path- we’re keepin’ our fingers crossed.  Way to be, Monkey!!

Hello 2012!!

New Years Eve and my in-laws basement, they go together like peanut butter and jelly!  We are so very excited to say hello to 2012 in our typical fashion.  A couple of cocktails, deafening music and impromput dance parties coordinated with our favorite game, “The Song Game”.  I would tell you about it but then I’d have to kill you.  Breier Family rules.  All of the usual suspects were in attendance.  Den and I (and the boys who were soundly sleeping in their bedroom, Danielle, a sober Laura (too much fun the night before) and my MIL and FIL.  Oh, and did I mention MY BEST FRIEND?!  Balster, and her fiancĂ©, Dave, were going to be visiting from Iowa to help us ring in the new year.  Doesn’t get any better.  Really, it doesn’t.  Jane made an amazing meal, we drank, we danced.  We were in bed at 12:15.  My favorite quote from the evening came from Dave.  “By the time I finish that scotch it’s going to be Aquafina.”
I woke up with Death Bug 2012, and Michael came down with it in the afternoon which spoiled Dave and Keri’s plans to stay all weekend.  On their way back to Iowa Death Bug 2012 took over their bodies and tortured them in the same fashion it did me and Michael.  Vomiting every 15 minutes isn’t exactly how we wanted to spend New Years Day.  I will spare you the other details.  Let’s just say we sent William back over to Mike and Jane’s so Dennis could tend to Michael and I.
I’m going with the theory that if the year comes in rough it can only get better.  Was that convincing?  It really couldn’t get much worse I promise you.
With that being said, we have so many wonderful things to be thankful for.  2011 was one helluva year, and we have so many wonderful things to look forward to in 2012!

Happy New Year!!
