This Is What Sleepovers Are Made Of!!

We had our cousins, Hannah {Banana} and Adam over last night for a sleepover.  Just wanted to share a few snapshots of the fun we had.  Michael and Will LOVED having them over, couldn't get enough of their attention.

This is what sleepovers are made of...

1.  Super Fun Activity

We ate out (@Portillo's) for dinner.  I don't have any photos of this step.

3.  Stay Up Late Watching Movies
(With my special popcorn recipe, of course.)

6.  Get In As Much Fun As You Can Before You Have To Go Home!!
We ended our morning with a trip to Westmont Yard.  I don't have any photos from this step either because I forgot my camera.  I NEVER FORGET MY CAMERA!!

What a great time we had!!  I think everyone is looking forward to our next sleepover!

Another Milestone (Finally!)

What happens when you are twice the size of someone your average age?  It takes you a little longer to master physical skills, such as sitting up.  We have been working on this new development rigorously for the last couple of weeks.  Every time Will is up he is working on his core strength.  I think he's finally got it!  I know it's difficult to pay attention to this new fete when you are easily distracted by his oh-so-cute smile.

The Pup Cup!!

The Breiers invaded Peoria.  There was a bar crawl.
Any more explanation necessary??

Will's Six Month Sneak Peek!!

The boys and I traveled to Freeport this week to visit Nancy and have a little photo session with Will.  It was so nice to see her (and her newly remodeled studio)!!  We love Nancy so much, and I've missed our trips to Freeport.  Here's a sneak peek of Will's shoot.  Doesn't she do a great job?!

Hanging Out with Our Buddies!!

Today we were outside celebrating a 70* day in March!!  We met Melissa, Tanner, Mason, Tiffany and Kody at McCollum Park for a spring playdate.  The boys had a blast, us moms got in some good conversation, and William swung for the first time!!  He absolutely loved it.  We had to call it a day when the clouds covered up our beautiful, warm sun.  The boys were both fast asleep two minutes into the drive home.  I could get used to this!!

His First Spare!!

As if the activity of yesterday wasn't enough, today I made a corned beef dinner and Mike and Jane came over for the afternoon... which turned into three hours at the bowling alley with Chris, Jane and the kiddos.  This happened to be Michael's first time bowling.  Dennis (and his entire family actually) is a bowling enthusiast.  League and all that good stuff.  So, I'm sure he was happy to see how much Michael enjoyed the sport.  He even got his FIRST SPARE (with bumpers, of course)!!  Mikey loved spending time with his cousins Hannah and Adam (and Gramma, of course!)- they play a game called "Find the Paci" for about an hour.  It entailed finding his pacifier under styrofoam cups.  He had a ball.  William spent the three hours pulling on a balloon string while resting comfortably on my hip.  He's so easy going these days- quite a difference from just two months ago.  We do love our Sunday's!!

Kiss Me, I'm Not Irish!

We spent today at our staple spot for St. Patty's Day celebrating... The Kerry Piper!  A good time was had by all.  How can you have a bad time with green beer, a U2 cover band, endless amount of space to play and leprechauns?  We even ran into some friends we haven't seen since last summer which was really nice.  Michael enjoyed running about and playing with all of the other tots decked out in their green attire.  William loved all of the attention he was receiving from everyone who walked by.  I realize that I am not Irish, but I do love me some good St. Patty's day fun!

Cabin Fever.

Cabin fever is an idiomatic term for a claustrophobic reaction that takes place when a person or group is isolated and/or shut in, in a small space, with nothing to do, for an extended period (as in a simple country vacation cottage during a long rain or snow). Symptoms include restlessness, irritability, irrational frustration with everyday objects, forgetfulness, laughter, excessive sleeping, distrust of anyone they are with, and an urge to go outside even in the rain, snow or dark.
The phrase is also used humorously to indicate simple boredom from being home alone (OR WITH TWO CHILDREN WHO CANNOT SPEAK YET!)1] The term was first recorded in 1918.[2] Other references have the term in use at least to 1906. An 1820 reference is to an actual fever, common in Ireland, resulting from eating watery potatoes during wet years.
Yep... This is us!!  So, today I wrapped the boys up and out the door we went to Westmont Yard! What a great spot for kiddos, especially ones like my Michael.  Bouncy houses, indoor soccer field with balls galore.  Two story jungle gym with all sorts of new places for him to explore.  William was content just hanging out.  I think he is a little jealous that his brother gets to do all of these great things because he knows how to walk!  Today was a good day.  We needed that!  Any day now SPRING!!

Sweet Moments.

Life is so hectic right now.  We are buying another car.  Den's business keeps him going 100 mph.  And, with two babies my home keeps me on my toes from the minute I rise in the morning til the minute I pass out.  It's moments like the one below that we look forward to every evening.  Those few minutes after dinner and baths, before book reading, rocking and bedtime stories.  When both boys are content for a few seconds on their daddy's lap while I try to gather blankets, bottles and favorite stuffed animals for bedtime.  I love these moments...

Some Seats Fit. Some Seats Don't.

Weeds- our boys grow like weeds.  It blows my mind how quickly each of them outgrows something.  Today, it just so happened to be the Bumbo chair and infant car seat for William and Michael's second car seat (which of course is now William's second car seat).  William started pushing up so hard with his feet in his Bumbo that he can lift it off of the table.  Time to pack that amazing little invention away.  First, I'll have to pry Will out of it because his thighs get wedged in so tight.  Will has needed to be out of the infant car seat for about two weeks now, but I'm a researcher.  So, I had to find the perfect seat for that would accommodate Michael for the next couple of years because he is ridiculously tall and of course the seat he was in didn't give him enough space between his seat and the passenger seat of the car.  Enter our third car seat in twenty months.  The Graco 3-in-1!  Michael LOVES, LOVES, LOVES this car seat.  Right when I took it out of the box he demanded that I strap him in, which is how he sat for 45 minutes enjoying his new space.  William, too, loves his "new" car seat and the room it allows for him to get comfortable.  I, on the other hand, miss the convenience of an infant carrier.  I'm off to pack up that baby until Baby Breier #3!!

See.  He's a little big for the Bumbo :)

Michael's new favorite spot!!

Happy Birthday, Auntie Abby!!

We sure do love us some Auntie Abby!  This fun-loving, giggly girl happens to be my baby sister and she is a whopping 19 YEARS OLD today!!  I can't believe it.  She has turned into an amazing young woman whom we are so very proud of.  And, as you can see... OUR BOYS LOVE HER!!

Happy, Happy 19th Birthday, Gabrielle Sophia!!
